The Bali Travel Guide Series - The Legian Part 1

 Happy Monday everyone! How is it all going?

I am excited to share yet another travel adventure with you. This time I am taking you to the exquisite multi- award winning Legian Bali in Seminyak  When you try to imagine perfection, The Legian Bali happens to get very close to making this perfection possible. I consider myself lucky to have traveled and stayed in numerous hotels and resorts all over the world, but The Legian Bali takes impeccable service to another level. Read on to find out more about the time we spent at this gorgeous location.

 Emiel and I thought   it would be a dream to celebrate our one year engagement anniversary at a very special place. The Legian Bali seemed like the perfect retreat for us. Everything was taking care of from the moment we walked in. If you love luxury, being spoiled and enjoying peaceful environments then this is the place you just have to visit. When taking to our suite, we were welcomed with light snacks and fresh beverages.  In the suite, there was peaceful music softly playing in the background. Talking about feeling welcome.  Stepping into our own haven felt like entering a luxurious home. The staff is the kindest and gracious you could ever meet. There is nothing too much for them. The Legian has the most impeccable service I have ever experienced.  We felt so special and they made us feel like royalty when we arrived here. Yeah, I said it, royalty!

After settling in, I was so excited, I had to do a happy dance for a minute. Well, I think I did a happy dance all day.  Being total foodies, we loved the fact that the mini bar was completely stocked with healthy and delicious complimentary snacks, like Cassava root chips, Rosemary garlic crackers, mixed nuts, crispy cookies, 70% chocolate bars and fresh juices. I think this is such a thoughtful feature and it really shows that The Legian stands for nothing more than excellence. The complimentary minibar is fully re-stocked every day. To top it all,  the lovely staff surprised us with fresh bites and beverages during our entire stay. The suite also comes with a spacious balcony, where we could enter our zen mode, soak up the sun and gaze at the stunning ocean view.

It is these sweet and thoughtful touches that made our stay here so special. The Legian left us notes with inspiring quotes and messages during our entire stay. It really brought a smile to our face.

The stylish suites are light and airy with more than enough space for two. We loved the Balinese authentic, yet modern wooden furniture and the dreamy white canopy bed is every girls fantasty right?. Everything was so perfectly taken care of and clean. I am a total neat freak, so this is important to me LOL.

  The Legian Bali is located in the trendy and upscale area of Seminyak. I am a huge fan of this area because here you can find the absolute best shopping in Bali. The nightclubs and restaurant scene are outstanding, so I always seem to gravitate towards this part of the island. Of course, I love many parts of Bali, but Seminyak has got to be one of my favorites. The Legian is located right at the ocean, so it's just the perfect place for early morning swimming and romantic beach strolls. There are also three large infinity pools overlooking the sparkling Indian Ocean. Did I mention it's also a great spot for surfing?

Maybe you'll find it interesting that all the pieces I am wearing here are from The Legian Boutique. Shopping for outfits?  Oh yes, it's all available at The Legian and The Boutique has everything a girl could wish for. From colorful and stylish dresses to easy breezy pants and sexy jumpsuits. Add jewelry, hats, shoes and bags all you want. I was at the boutique for hours. All their pieces have something really special to them. Like the white layered Greek inspired summer dress, I am wearing here.  We went for a long stroll along the beach and when we got back we got dressed for tea time and dinner.

Relaxing in the foyer just before dinner and had a cocktail while watching the sunset. I slipped into a gorgeous maxi dress that I also picked up at the boutique. Don't you just love the gorgeous detailing? Bali gets very warm, so light clothing is a must here and an easy-breezy maxi is easy and quick to throw on when you want to keep moving to the next fabulous adventure out here.

When staying at The Legian:

1. Make sure you try their spa and wellness center for massage treatments and beauty therapies with complimentary use of plunge whirlpools, sauna, and steam rooms. Their holistic massage oils are handcrafted for a calming and healing experience that will leave you completely renewed.
2. Head out to the pool and bar area at 4 pm for a complimentary high tea overlooking the ocean.
3. Have breakfast and more breakfast! The Legian offers one of the best breakfasts I have ever had while traveling. A must try is their salmon scrambled eggs!
4.  Are you visiting with your family and want to make your stay extra special? Make sure to rent one of the pool villas at The Club with private car and butler service available. This is also great when traveling with kids, couples or honeymooners.
5. Make sure to visit The Boutique for some excellent shopping.
6. Enjoy ocean view fine dining prepared by Executive Chef Luke Macleod while watching the sunset. Magical!
