The heat in Bali always requires a girl to wear loose fitted and comfortable clothing. Heels? Tried it and trust me it was a huge mistake. Picture me almost falling flat on my face on a night out on the town. The street pavements here were probably invented by someone not thinking of any girl wanting to dress up. Nope, I have to stick with comfy shoes, so as you can imagine I like to get creative and wear all sorts of colorful sandals. Dresses and tops and skirts ditto. When in Bali, chasing a waterfall just has to be on top of your bucket list.  Most waterfalls are tucked away on the north side of the island. It takes almost half a day to get there by car. So when you only have a few days in Bali and don't have the time to travel al the way up to the north side, you have the option to visit the Kanto Lampo waterfall. Kanto Lampo is a new hidden treasure in Bali. It's located in the Gianyar region, not too far away from Ubud and about just one hour away from Kuta and Seminyak.  A new waterfall you might think? Yep, this spectacular piece of nature just popped out the ground less than a year ago, so let me tell you about it.

Welcome to my favorite villa in Bali. As you might know from my previous posts we've spent some time in east Bali and loved it.  I am quite obsessed with finding true gems when it comes to where we're staying while traveling.

Emiel always lets me pick the hotel and I can spend hours online searching for the perfect spots.  I guess I have become quite a pro at this, because he always loves my picks. The same goes when we stayed in Amed and spent a few incredible days and never wanted to leave!
