I think it's safe to say I've always been a huge fan of white baby doll dresses. Hand me a lace version and I am smitten. I think the love affair started when I was a child when studying classical ballet and reading fairy tale books were a huge part of my daily activities.
Now of course ballet has nothing to do with a baby doll dress, but somehow it does remind me of it, because of the frilly and lace appearance. Fast forward to 2016, I think these dresses can be updated with classic denim and a pair of edgy flat sandals, or style them with a leather jacket and combat boots for a cute bad girl look.
What I love about this particular dress from Jacky Luxury is the fact that I can dress it up or down. Paired with platform wedges or a sandal heels it is totally fit for a night out. Think dinner and even clubbing.
With flats like sneakers you can transform it to a city look, while adding a pair of flip flops or espadrilles are perfect for heading down to the beach.
I have worn this dress a few times on the blog like here and here and the denim jacket I added was featured before too right here.
Sometimes it's easy to buy a few pieces, wear it all the time and then forget about them. I have decided to re-use my older clothes and styling them by adding trendy touches for a completely new look.
Of course, a dress like this and especially the denim jacket never goes out of style. For example, chokers, round sunnies, bandana scarfs and pom poms are huge this summer. Basically any ole "out of style" piece can be updated by adding a few of these trend pieces and voila you look totally up to date again.
