Hello Bali

Hey everyone

I am sitting at the airport in Surabaya Indonesia while typing this to you guys. We landed in Bali safely and sound after a very long flight from Amsterdam four days ago. Today we are flying to the very remote Maluku islands which will take all day and three planes. Not an easy task for a nervous flyyer like me, but hey I am a happy camper because Emiel is with me and I am finally getting to see the island where my grandparents were born.

The first days in Bali was really all about getting some much needed rest and doing absolutely nothing than eating and drinking at the best places and hanging out at our hotel rooftop pool. We were staying at the U-Paasha Hotel in the trendy city of Seminyak which was great. Beautiful big rooms, right in the heart of everything and a lovely staff taking care of all our needs. I was thinking about shooting a bikini post for you guys at their fabulous pool, but honestly for the first time in ages I was way too tired for it. I hope you guys can understand that after four years of blogging and a twenty four flight a girl needs to unplug and some time for a serious recharge. Of course I will take tons of photos during this six week trip to share with you guys. So lots of summer outfits coming up to hopefully inspire you for summer coming up. Here a few snaps taken on the roof of the hotel to give you guys an idea of how stunning Bali really is. For the first time in my life I got sunburned really bad by just walking in the sun for half an hour. Seriously the sun is brutal here and and the temps are high. I am not complaining. This trip is pure heaven. I have to run now because we will be boarding in half an hour and flying to Ambon city.Yay!

13 Must-Haves To Rock The Rose Gold Trend

There is nothing more glam than the rose gold trend that has been going on for a while now. Think rose gold on bronzed skin with an all white outfit or pair it with black, brown, coral and camel tones for a sexy sophisticated sparkle, Rose gold mixes beautifully with silver jewelry and white pearls and looks stunning with anything pastel. I picked out a few favorites that make me long for summer like there is no tomorrow. The good news is; we are leaving for Bali soon, so I am totally stocking up.

My rose gold obsession really kicked in when I finally got my new iPhone 6s in this hue two days ago. I just had to grab a pretty phone case that would still show off the beautiful rose gold details. I am not a big fan of phone cases that completely cover the phone. This see through case filled with 24K real gold foil is a real show stopper and soooo my cup of tea. For some reason I am already on spring mode and it shows, because lately I keep reaching for pastel colored clothing. To keep it all winter proof, I chose to pair this gorgeous boho inspired Shein dress with a cozy shearling coat and over-the-knee boots to keep me warm. I should have worn some tights, but hey I thought bare legs look better on photos and I didn't want some black sheers to mess up the beautiful color pallete, so what can I say. Fashion over comfort right?

Besides my huge love for anything fashion, beauty products and cosmetics have always been one of my favorite things. Getting dolled up for a night out is something I just love, and besides creating the perfect outfit, beautiful make-up is in my opinion essential. One of my favorite things to do is going on a date night with my love Emiel. We both love trying new foods at our favorite restaurants and lounging afterwards at either a trendy hot spot in town or a cozy cafe in the area. When ever we go out I always try to create a new look to surprise him.

When E.L.F. Cosmetics reached out to me to create a make-up look with a few of their products, I immediately jumped at the opportunity to create a evening look for you guys. Emiel does not like too much make-up on me. I am one of those lucky gals, he prefers me with no make-up at all. He does love it in the right amounts though, so on our date nights I like to keep it light, yet glamorous enough to feel like it is a special occasion, which of course it always is.

Going Back To Bali

Hey everyone

I just wanted to stop by and say a quick hello to you all, and share the news that me and the boy Emiel will be traveling to Indonesia again next month. Yay I am so incredibly excited! Six full weeks we will be gone, enough time to really get to explore this gorgeous place. Bali is on the list and this time we will also be traveling to the very remote Kei islands in south east Indonesia where both our grandparents were born.

I am beyond excited, because visiting my ancestors birth island will be the first time for me. Emiel has already been there twice, so for me visiting the first time is extra special. I can't wait to meet all the family who are still living there, all the amazing shopping I can do, and of course visit the most amazing beach and nightclubs and beautiful nature we can to explore. Of course I will be sharing all the travels with you guys here on the blog. I am also thinking of doing a few vlogs, so stay tuned for that too!

Of course I am already planning and shopping all the cute outfits I want to pack. I am thinking lots of boho styles and seventies flare. Cute shorts, skirts and rompers. Easy breezy maxi dresses with colorful sandals and of course swimsuits in every color possible. Bali is the place to really go all out when it comes to colorful summer wear. With constant hot temps, no need to layer your clothing and get that much needed sun tan.

Already on vacation mode, I wanted to share a few snaps of our Bali trip last summer just to get in the mood.

Can you believe I've been drooling over the Chloé Mini Marcie bag since last summer? Every time I wanted to go and grab it somewhere, be it online or in stores, it was sold out in this gorgeous color called: "Tan". Sure, I would spot the Marcie in gray, peach pink or light brown, but for some reason I only wanted this bag in this particular tan color, or it would be no mini Marcie for me at all. Can you believe the utter joy when I walked into the Bijenkorf - A major department store in Amsterdam, and finally found this baby in yes the color tan!

It is quite funny, because the store only had the Marcie bags laid out in the color blue, beige and light pink, so I was about to walk away terribly disappointed again. It was at this moment that the Chloe sales lady Sarah walked over and said:"I can tell, you are not really into the colors we have laid out here. You are a brown bag type of girl am I right?. If you are interested, we also have the color tan for you in the back of the store". I said WHUT? Your kidding right?

Sarah rushes off and a few minutes later comes back with the bag I have been crazy to get my hands on: Thé Tan colored Chloé mini Marcie. There was a moment of silence. Angels were singing, bells were tingling. This is that shopping moment every girl dreams of. There is the bag you want! My boy Emiel said: get it, girl now! My mom said: go and grab it fast! Guess what? I didn't get it. They got it for me. Don't you just love these people? I do... oh yes I do!
